This is our full list of ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratories: 4,995 of them, in 57 countries. Every one comes from the public register of a national accreditation body, the official organisation that inspects laboratories and publishes which tests each one is qualified to run. Where this list comes from

Every laboratory above was read from the public register of one of these national accreditation bodies. Each body is the organisation its own country recognises to inspect laboratories and publish what they are accredited to test.

Adding this column gives 4,996, which is 1 more than the 4,995 laboratories on this page. One laboratory holds accreditation from two of these bodies, and each body counts it in its own register, so we do not quietly drop one of the two.

How to check a laboratory yourself

Being on this list means a national accreditation body published a certificate for that laboratory. It does not mean the laboratory is accredited for the particular test you need. Accreditation is granted test by test, and the list of what a laboratory may do is called its scope.

Check a certificate to confirm an accreditation number is real and current. Check what a lab can test to see whether a specific standard sits inside that laboratory's accredited scope before you send the work.
