Chemical testing, also called analytical testing, finds out what a sample contains, how much of a substance is present, or a chemical property such as pH. 1,813 accredited labs in 45 countries have chemical testing in their scope. Most of them are in Germany, Italy and United States. The most common standards in these scopes are EN ISO 10523, ISO 10304-1 and EN 27888.
Typical tests: chromatography, mass spectrometry, ICP, atomic absorption, X-ray fluorescence, titration and gravimetric analysis. Food samples belong to food testing and patient samples to clinical testing, even when the technique is the same.
